Tel-Aviv University (TAU) is the largest and most comprehensive research university in Israel. TAU actively participates in the European Framework Programs since the 5th Framework Programme, with participation in 50 projects in FP5, 75 projects in FP6 and about 50 winning projects in FP7. The School of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Tel-Aviv University includes 21 research laboratories, 29 full-time faculty members, about 40 PhD students, and about 950 MSc students.
